Why This Prototype Exists
This website is a prototype: an exploration of how high-performance contractors can tell their story more clearly and effectively to homeowners.
Many of the best contractors in our industry do exceptional work. They use building science, take a whole-house approach, test and verify results, and care deeply about quality. But too often, that story never really comes through on their website and so their expertise is invisible to the homeowner.
This prototype is our attempt to show what it can look like when that expertise is translated into clear, homeowner-friendly language that still honors the science and the craft behind the work.
Why We Built It
Energy Circle and Amply Energy built this website as a free learning tool for the industry.
Over the years, we’ve both seen the same pattern again and again: high-performing companies doing world-class work, but communicating it so poorly online that homeowners have no way to tell them apart from other, inferior contractors.
We believe this gap matters, not just for individual businesses, but for the future of high-performance contracting as a whole. If homeowners can’t understand the value of better work, it’s harder for the industry to grow, scale, and lead.
This prototype is one small way to help make the invisible visible.
